2003 Château Haut-Gravet St. Emilion Grand Cru

A dark ruby right bank with a prune barn yard nose, pungent with a hint of black fruit and cassis.  In the mouth it is light bodied, sweet fruit in layers through the middle to a very firm tannin finish that is both lengthy and numbing. Great little Bordeaux for the money, drinking well now.

Score: 88
Cost: $ 37
Wine Type: Right Bordeaux Blend, France, Bordeaux, Libournais, St. Émilion Grand Cru
