1990 Ch‚teau Pichon-Longueville Baron

> Lookup on Cellar Tracker

An outstanding clear ruby wine with a hint of silver that announces itself as an elder statesman and something very special.

It has excellent French nose that is subtle, elegant, without any rough edges, that as we let it sit in the decanter it changed, and grew more complex and wonderful.

The French nose leads with mushroom, and a touch of loam and fruit that just teases with cranberry that just begs for another sniff.

Once you bring yourself to taste this perfectly balanced amazing blend of dark fruit, mid palette spice and orange peel, the finish warms softly, a finish fit for royalty. I just couldnít help but have another sip. Entire meals can be wrapped around this wine.  For full enjoyment decant and spend the time to let this great wine breathe.
