My buddy Tim is the port guy but I might as well try my hand at a port tasting. The Rosso Rubino is in EdenVale's words; "This Port-Style Red is made from our Merlot blended with Syrah brandy for wonderful after-dinner sipping by the fire." I don't have the fire going but I'm having it after dinner following steelhead and some Dry Creek Vineyard Zinfandel. The nose is dense, dark fruit, anise, and tarragon. This dessert wine is very sweet and full bodied in the mouth with an acidic tang on the finish.
