2006 Kathryn Hall Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley

> Lookup on Cellar Tracker

I've had this wine before but this is a first time I've formally tasted it.  Its color is a very dark ruby, it is not possible to see through,  it has such concentration.  Let this big wine breath for a while and the nose is intense.  Fruit, pencil lead, pepper spice and earth and even a note of chocolate and tobacco.  On the palate this wine excels, huge fruit and sweet layers with a numbing finish that lingers and lingers.  It was around 90 when it was young, now 94+,
