Tuesday, August 14, 20122010 Pebblestone Pinot Gris
This is not the wine from Harry and David that
was best of show, that was the 2011 and the review will be coming soon.
When Galileo Galilee talked about wine
being "sunshine held together by water" he could have been describing
this Pinot Gris. The color is summer sun, held together by water.
Everything about this wine says "refreshing"
Notes of peach, apple and a hint of apricot
lead you into a Pinot Gris that fulfills its promise with just enough tart
acidic finish to clear the palette for the next sip. Marvelously balanced with
fruit forward start, refreshing middle and cleansing, tart finish, that makes
one wonder "why is the wine gone?"
This wine will stand alone, no need to breathe
or add food, although the acidic finish will pair nicely with fruit, fish or
fowl.

Score: 94
Cost: $ 15
Wine Type: Pinot Gris, Southern Oregon, Rogue Valley
