Thursday, February 28, 20082005 Trevor Jones Chardonnay
Straw colored, fruity nose apples, touch of citric smell, lime/lemon. Fruity but not to sweet, very light body with a mild but lasting finish. Not a lot of layers of complexity here but a very straight forward chardonnay. Second taste on the next day, referigerated overnight. So a colder look at the same wine. Crisper because it is 36 degrees. Brings out a little dryer finish but stll very fruity and simple in terms of flavor. This wine says “Hello I’m a chardonnay”, nothing to denote if I’m Australian, Napa, French, etc. Needs more distinction. That said a fine drink for the price $15.00 and will be a hit at parties and your pcoket book.
