2010 Tamarack Cellars Cabernet Franc Wahluke Slope

> Lookup on Cellar Tracker

This is a Walla Walla Cab Franc that is a rich dark red.  The nose is floral, dark fruit, forest floor and cedar.  The mouth feel is full and chewy with an excellent fruit that has layered flavors leading into a gentle tannic finish.  The wine does have an overall wow factor that leads me to want more.  This wine is a wonderful paring with rich foods or on its own.

2007 Pirouette Red Wine

> Lookup on Cellar Tracker

This wine is a very dark ruby, opaque and lovely in the glass.  The bouquet is dark black fruit, floral hints, black olives, and  pencil shavings.  The nose is wonderful and complex with the many varietal types showing through.  The mouth feel is full bodied with a lovely layered fruit beginning and middle.  The wine is well balanced with sweetness to acid and has a lovely tannin on the finish which is long and lasting.  This is a well-made higher alcohol wine but the heat does not take away from the general pleasure this wine provides.  At 5 years old now it could easily go 5 more years and get better and better.
The Blend:
Cab Sauv 56% , Merlot 25% , Cab franc 11% , Petite Verdot.6%, Malbec 2%
