Thursday, February 28, 20082004 Marchesi de'Frescobaldi Nipozzano Riserva Chianti Rufina
Good solid Chianti nose you can smell the sangiovese grapes, begs to be sipped. Tart with crisp long finish. Tasting black cherrys, clenses the palate wonderful with food. Pasta, and meat.
Second Tasting Review:
The wine is a dark burgandy color, you can’t see through it. The nose is lighter than the color, crisp and light with cherry and flowers. The taste and body run to full, Tart and acidic up front with a fruity and tannin filled long finish which is perhaps a touch too tart. Very refreshing best with rich foods and heavy sauces. I think this will be better about 2010
