2009 Deer Creek Vineyards Merlot

The 2009 Merlot from Deer Creek Vineyards has a clear, beautiful, dark ruby color with a floral nose of rose. The nose has more to offer than just a little floral note, we found charcoal, pencil box, and burnt oak. A well balanced wine that tastes of plum and pumpkin with very nice subtle tannin, that you have to wait for to get the full effect, but then a nice lingering finish  that completes this wine’s wonderful journey.
