Wednesday, October 05, 20112008 Spangler Vineyards Petit Verdot
A very thick dark and dense red wine with long legs and 14.5 % alcohol level that looks lovely in fine crystal. The nose is black cherry, with touches of blue berry, graphite and vanilla. It’s superb in the mouth, round and full bodied, a layering of berry, fruit then acid over full tannin that stretches the finish and make your reach for rich food. A favorite varietal to drink when you can find it made this well, go job Spangler.
