2010 Deer Creek Vineyards Pinot Noir

> Lookup on Cellar Tracker

This is our second tasting of this very refined Pinot Noir.  We did not review the prior note or score and we're very interested in how this wine is maturing in the bottle.   The color is a a light garnet and translucent with a nose of raspberry, loam, smoke and oak.  The palate is a rich black cherry fruit forward light to medium body with an acidic middle and light spicy finish with some length.  Itís improving nicely in the bottle and will be a favorite through 2015, A much improved wine with bottle age.

This is Pinot Noir was served at 59 degrees. The color is light cranberry with orange edges.  The nose is white pepper, blackberry, and cigar box, a hint of anise and floral hint.  Let this wine breath itís young and will enhance the nose. The palate shows a well-balanced fruit, characteristic of Pinot Noir, soft acidic finish with supple tannin and a touch of clove.  Buy this wine and drink now through 2012, very approachable and drinkable young wine.
