Monday, October 17, 20112008 LaVelle Pinot Noir
A light ruby colored Pinot Noir from one of the most Southern vineyards in Oregon’s Willamette Valley. The nose is a smoky blackberry, vanilla and loam. A brilliant taste of raspberry and blackberry layered upon a Nilla Wafer with an acidic and tannic finish that continues for up to a minute. Really tasty Pinot Noir in a class of its own, the 2008 Matthew's Reserve Pinot Noir is a step up from this so imagine how good it is.
