Dancin Vineyards Pinot Noir tasting:

Today at 38 Central we tasted both the 2010 Dancin Vineyards releases.  They were tasted and scored blind at lunch today by Tim and Myself.  The Adagio is all Southern Oregon fruit from Dancin vineyard here which is still quite young.  The Pas de Deux is a blend of the Southern Oregon grapes and grapes from vines in the Dundee region of the Willamette Valley.

The Pas de Deux is strawberry colored with a nose is pie cherry, loam, cardamom and touch of white pepper.  On the palate this wine has a medium mouth feel with a citric sweet fruit then a lovely middle with a long and soft finish

The Adagio is a slightly darker garnet colored with with a dark fruit nose, white pepper, spicy hints, and leather. The mouth feel is a medium body with tart sweet fruit a long and supple middle with soft finish.

Both wines are an outstanding offering from this new vintner from Southern Oregon.

Score: 90
Cost: $ 30
